LiputanIslam.com–Deputy Chair of the MPR Jazilul Fawaid asked the government to follow up on the Corruption Eradication Commission (KPK) recommendations on pre-employment card program, which bears some issues related to its management and courses offered.
Jazilul said that some people found several irregularities with the management and digital courses offered by the government’s pre-employment card program. It turns out that the KPK confirmed these allegations.
“I believe the KPK has examined carefully and objectively. I hope the government will pay attention and follow up on the KPK’s recommendations. If ignored, it can increase public suspicion,” Jazilul said in Jakarta on Saturday (6/20).
Jazilul considered the KPK’s recommendation was right for the government to hand over the implementation of the pre-employment cards program to the Ministry of Manpower (Kemnaker) and involve the National Professional Certification Agency (BNSP).
He also said that the Ministry of Manpower and BNSP were both parts of the government, so the KPK’s recommendations were correct.
“If [the program] transferred to the Ministry of Manpower and BNSP, they are also parts of the executive branch of government. And, we will also monitor their performances,” he said.
Previously, the KPK highlighted loopholes in the program as it had no control mechanism to check whether participants had really attended and finished courses. Some courses also taught basic skills that did not require a class at all or necessitate face-to-face training sessions. (ra/Ay/Antara/Republika/JakartaPost)
